Here are two of the fun projects done with the seven kids [8 to 12] in my Art Around the World class this week...
batik done with white glue...
I did my "glue" drawing free hand. You do have the option of crinkling the cloth. They did a practice drawing and the redrew onto the cloth.
after the glue is dried, watercolor paint is applied. It does slightly get the glue soggy again.
The second project was a modified block print using craft foam that has different textures.
Other projects included painting Sumi-e, a circular weaving, silhouettes, Australian dot painting, modeling clay, stenciling a windsock, and we're making a coil basket with yarn & last project will be an Inca foil mask.
I'm printing by pc printer lots of blank note cards for Gallery Boom spinner...
