13 of 14 summer art camps ran through Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation. WOW, most classes were enthusiastic and focused and then of course, there were a few exceptions of exuberance gone over the top. However just like when grandchildren visit, I can happily send them home and enjoy a nap!
I've just posted my fall class list that happen in The Olympia Center.
Folks in Shelton - I need to contact the director of the Shelton Parks and Rec as I sent Mark a list of proposals awhile back... classes would be on Monday evenings.
Waiting to hear from The Fine Art dept of The Fair as I submitted pieces to their annual exhibit during the WA State Fair.
I have been making many digital drawings on the iPad but for some reason I can't email them to myself. When visiting my art buddy Lilo we found I could email them to her. so.... we sat and emailed - me to her and then she emailed the drawings to me. Silly but not sure what the glitch is with the iPad.
other than TOO HOT - summer is almost done and I will be focusing on Christmas ornaments, collaging on small papier mache boxes, making simple chopstick books, and printing block prints for blank note cards.
Thanks to all who take my classes or purchase my art/cards...

Unfortunately I was ill and could not make the March 7th opening of the Puget Sound Sumi Artists group exhibit.

ten days to go until the end of FIVE Squared, we are close to reaching our goal. More than 100 pieces have sold, but there are so many wonderful pieces left. Still time to purchase a piece for yourself or as a gift (think Easter, Mother's/Father's Day, birthdays)!

No digital drawing tonight but then I did 4 Irish themed ones yesterday. I'm up to 48 of them - all are posted on Fine Art America and Spoonflower. As far as Zazzle that's a slower process even to get them onto the "quick create" it takes about twenty minutes per image.

Catching up I did three digital drawings while at Gallery Boom today as well as started to read my novel again. I actually had seven people come in throughout the day. Nice that the gallery is getting discovered. I made two sales on the Square set up - and correctly entered the cash tendered.

Almost finished with the two mixed media for XX XY at the Confluence Gallery in Twisp WA.
In the Exploring the Written Word through Art class that met for two Monday nights, the challenge was to make four collages that represented each of the seasons and add words either on the back or in the image. Wish I'd had the camera! The results were really great. I only did three ... being the facilitator/instructor I make frequent rounds to see what everyone is up to. Winter Muse is this one

In today's Watercolor: Textures and Techniques I went over all kinds of crazy things to do to mess around with watercolors... I did some more ink and/or coffee trees by blowing the blobs on the paper with a straw.
Below is an example of wax paper placed over a wash which by chance made the shape of tree trunks which I enhanced. The foreground was a wash with plastic wrap placed on it and then lifted off when dry.
